After being acquitted in three previous trials, Gambino family crime boss John Gotti was convicted of 13 felonies, including five murders as well as racketeering, extortion, tax evasion and obstruction of justice. The testimony of underboss Sammy “The Bull” Gravano was crucial to toppling the so-called "Teflon Don," who died in prison in 2002 while serving a life sentence without parole.
