Wayne Williams was found guilty for the brutal 1981 slayings of two young Black men in Atlanta based substantially on then-innovative fiber analysis linking the victims to his home and car. Williams, who is serving two consecutive life sentences, is suspected of killing at least 24 other Black men, teens and children over a three-year spree dubbed the Atlanta Child Murders. No charges have been filed in the other cases.
