"Vampire of Sacramento" Richard Chase murders four people in one day

Richard Chase, a California serial killer dubbed the “Vampire of Sacramento” due to his penchant for consuming the blood and organs of his victims, murdered and mutilated six people between December 1977 and January 1978. He was finally caught after killing the four occupants of the Misroth family home in a single day of debased brutality. He was convicted of six counts of murder and died by suicide in his prison cell in 1979.
