When King of Pop Michael Jackson died suddenly in 2009 of acute propofol intoxication, attention quickly focused on his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, who had administered the drug as a sleeping agent. In 2011, Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to four years in prison. He served nearly two years and had his medical license revoked.
