Robert Taylor as Sheriff Walt Longmire

Character Bio: Walt Longmire

Walt Longmire is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man in psychic repair that buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He is known for his manners, strength, and old fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.

Actor Bio: Robert Taylor

Robert Taylor is one of Australia’s busiest actors, and has a burgeoning international film and television career. He is a graduate of the prestigious West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).

On television, Taylor appeared as “Kiron” in the NBC telemovie “Hercules,” and worked with acclaimed American director Peter Bogdanovich in “The Mystery Of Natalie Wood.” Additionally, he played the role of “Vincent” in the BBC series “Ballykissangel” and had a lead opposite Guy Pearce and Rachael Griffiths in the feature film The Hard Word.

Taylor is no stranger to international blockbusters, starring as “Skip Taylor” alongside Chris O’Donnell in Vertical Limit and as “Agent Jones” in The Matrix.

In a career covering 20 years, he has also starred in many productions in Australia and the U.S., such as “Satisfaction,” “Ned Kelly,” “After the Rain,” “First Daughter,” “Tales of the South Seas,” “Muggers,” “Twisted Tales,” “The Feds,” “Stingers,” “Phage” and “Nash’s Vision” (USA). In 2010 Taylor starred as the lead in the feature Coffin Rock (Head Gear Films, UK), “Underbelly Files: Tell Them Lucifer was Here” (Screentime), had a role in ABC’s mini-series, “Twentysomething” and was most recently seen in the Australian series “Killing Time” opposite David Wenham.
