MC Hammer

Legendary multi-platinum hip-hop artist famous for his mainstream sound and one-of-a-kind dance moves. Although he continues to produce music and perform nationally, Hammer (aka Stanley Burrell) spends much of his time as the head of a bustling suburban household with his wife of 24 years and their five kids and one nephew.

Stephanie Burrell

Behind every great man… Stephanie has been with Hammer since before he was ever a household name. While Hammer spends time in the studio working on his music, Stephanie's days are filled with shuttling six kids around town to various activities, and holding down the fort at home.

Stanley Jr. aka 'Booby'

Booby is the standout dancer in the family, and performs on stage with Hammer regularly. He is only 13, but walks around like a pop star with his flashy style and cool attitude.

Sarah Burrell

At 16, Sarah is just starting to come into her own. She is a talented singer, but lacks the confidence to really show her stuff. She looks up to her sister A'keiba, and their closeness is apparent when A'keiba is home from college. Sarah is reserved and polite and spends a lot of time reading and focusing on her schoolwork.

Jeremiah Burrell

Jeremiah is a typical, well-mannered 11 year old, and the complete opposite of Booby's "too cool for school" attitude -although it's obvious he looks up to him-. Jeremiah struggles to stay focused on his school work, but his talents lie in poetry and songwriting. He also enjoys playing sports and hanging out with his friends.

A'Keiba Burrell

A'keiba spends most of her time at the University of Texas in Austin studying TV and Film Production, but when she comes home, she helps Stephanie and acts as a role model for the other kids. Her vegetarian lifestyle often comes into conflict with her carnivorous siblings.

Sammy

MC Hammer may be the head of this household, but you'd never know it when four-year-old Sammy's around. Mom and Dad are at the beck and call of the youngest member of the Hammer family. Sammy is always there to provide moments of pure family comedy, and sometimes drama too.

Lyin' Marv

A loyal member of Hammer's entourage, Cousin Marv is always hanging around the Hammer house, especially at meal times. Marv is larger than life in more ways than one. His reputation precedes him, and he's never taken seriously by anyone in the Hammer household. Even the kids bust his chops! Whether on purpose or not, Marv's personality and demeanor provide instant comedy in any situation.

Jamaris Knighten

Jamaris is Hammer's nephew who has been living in the Hammer household since he was ten years old. Hammer took him in after Jamaris' mom was diagnosed with brain cancer. Jamaris has a very dry sense of humor that always keeps the family laughing. He enjoys spending time out with his friends, but it is obvious how much he values the family environment that the Hammer household provides. Jamaris is a gifted athlete, currently being recruited to play college football.
