While riding her bicycle in a parking lot in Arlington, Texas, 9-year-old Amber Hagerman was abducted by a man in a black pickup truck as she kicked and screamed. Five days later, her naked body was found in a creek five miles away. Her murder remains unsolved, but her kidnapping inspired the Amber alert system that seeks the public’s help in finding abducted children.
