“Cops,” a pioneering reality series that used handheld cameras to capture the daily routine of police officers, debuted on the then-fledgling Fox network and aired more than 1,000 episodes over three decades. Paramount Network canceled the show in 2020 amid protests over the murder of George Floyd by a white Minneapolis police officer.
