Charred bodies of two women are found in Yosemite serial killer case

Cary Stayner, a handyman at a lodge near Yosemite National Park, when on a deadly killing spree – murdering lodge guests Carole Sund, her teenage daughter, Juliana, and Juliana’s friend Silvina Pelosso. Two bodies were found in the trunk of their burnt-out rental car; another in a secluded area. Months later, the decapitated body of 26-year-old naturalist Joie Ruth Armstrong was discovered in a remote cabin. After confessing to all four murders, Stayner was convicted and is awaiting execution.
