In Miami, Detective Carlos Castellanos is working the homicide case of a man found dead in a motel bathroom, the victim of an apparent robbery. With little evidence to go on, Castellanos must track down the victim’s missing belongings in the hopes that what the killer stole will lead to his capture. In Memphis, Sergeant Caroline Mason is investigating the homicide of a man shot on a quiet residential street in the middle of the afternoon. A witness comes forward who says she saw a man from the neighborhood running from the scene. Mason needs to find the suspect before he becomes a victim of retaliation.
