Danelle

Yonkers EMS

Born in Jamaica, Danelle grew up in and around the Hastings-on-Hudson Firehouse, Engine 46 after moving to Hastings, New York in 1995. She likes to say that she grew up in the firehouse as almost all her childhood memories take place at the station with her uncle, a longtime firefighter on Engine 46. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from SUNY Genesco. Quickly drawn to the medical field, Danelle interned at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx before joining Empress EMS in September 2017. As an EMT, she loves getting to know her patients and, hopefully, make them laugh during a stressful time. When she’s not at Empress, she goes back home to Hastings-on-Hudson and volunteers as an EMT in the same firehouse that helped raised her or spend time with her brother and two sisters.
