Nicknamed “Shrek.” Of his partner John Fisher, Jason says, “He’s the best…and he knows every buffet.” Jason is a Tennessee native who grew up on a farm, raises quarter horses in his spare time, and makes the world’s best homemade sausage.

Jason recently went back to college to get a degree in criminal justice. He is the Squad’s veteran and its most experienced investigator. As a young correctional officer, he learned that “the word ‘no’ is the foundation of all authority.”

“When you tell a prisoner ‘no,’ you have to be ready to enforce it,” Jason says.

During interrogations, Jason works to “develop a theme.” As a questioner, he can be conversational and even friendly, but his imposing size and his direct verbal style always make it clear who’s in charge.
