The officers are confronted with a series of tough challenges. Rich Emberlin and Misty Vancuren are called in to help Dallas homicide detectives on a particularly dangerous case - searching for a suspected murderer who is thought to carry a military-style assault rifle. SWAT thinks he is barricaded in his mother's home and they employ a number of skilled tactics. Later, everyone on SWAT is put on alert when four team members are shot by an alleged Methamphetamine dealer in a drug warrant gone awry. Immediately after the shootings, Sergeant Paul Junger and SWAT are put once again back into the line-of-fire to attend to another potentially dangerous call out. All the while, Sergeant Junger takes on a personal challenge. Enlisting the help of SWAT's "Fitness Guru" Randy, Junger tries to lose weight, gain muscle mass, and keep up with SWAT's high caliber of physical fitness.
