Edward Salzano joined the Runaway Squad three years ago after meeting Joe through mutual friends. A technology specialist, he contributed to the development of the Mazzilli's surveillance system, the AV360 camera, as well as analyzing Internet and video data and managing remote surveillance systems for investigations. He became a full-fledged investigator after being with the squad for two years.

Salzano's work with the squad has been an extremely rewarding experience, whether he's assisting families that have nowhere else to turn, helping teenagers through a difficult time in their lives, or just busting the bad guys. The most gratifying aspect of his job is reuniting families.

Salzano grew up in New Jersey, where he played football and lacrosse and had a rock band. He attended college at the University of Southern California for Electrical Engineering and went on to work as an Electrical Engineer for Canon and Hewlett Packard. Following that, he moved into the computer animation business and was part of the original development team for “Dora the Explorer.”
