D’angelo originally wanted to join the marines but was rejected for having tattoos that resembled gang symbols. Corrections was a natural second choice because he yearned to be part of a brotherhood. A bit of an adrenaline junkie, he enjoys the rush that comes with leaping headfirst into dangerous situations inside the prison.
A black belt in Jiu-Jitsu and a former high school wrestler, D’angelo knows how to take care of himself. Although he’s a rookie, he has a strong air of authority around the inmates, to the point that many of them like to challenge him. He often has a hard time keeping his temper under control, and struggles with keeping his personal feelings separate from his professional duties.
D’angelo has set his sights on joining one of the facility’s elite special units and being right in the middle of all the action. But despite his confidence, D’angelo still has a lot to learn and sometimes his cockiness leads him to make mistakes.
