Former Illinois police officer Drew Peterson became tabloid fodder after the 2007 disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson. As doubts grew about his claim that she had called him to say she was leaving him for another man, authorities investigated the 2004 death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, whose nude body was found in a dry bathtub in a death initially ruled an accident. Convicted of premeditated murder, Peterson was sentenced to 38 years in prison. (Stacy Peterson’s body has not been found.)
