Rebecca and Ken have lived in the desirable Clarksville neighborhood in Austin for ten years and put a lot of TLC into their small home built in 1938. They need to move to make room for Rebecca’s elderly mother, but they haven’t had any luck with the stiff competition in neighborhood. Sell This House: Extreme designer and staging expert Roger Hazard delivers the bad news that Rebecca and Ken’s asking price is much too high. However, he has a plan to drastically redesign and remodel their house to stand above their competition and raise their asking price. Builder, Charlie Frattini, is ready to carry out Roger’s design plan. They work together to update the small, dark living room, tiny kitchen, cluttered bedrooms and even a couple outdoor projects to up the home’s curb appeal. By the time they’re finished the house is the jewel of the block and sure to catch potential buyers’ attention.

We’ll gut the greasy kitchen, open up the cramped living room and entry, and break off the unsightly burglar bars on her windows that have sent potential buyers driving for the hills. In just four days, we hope to turn Darlene’s home into the perfect beach bungalow and send her off into the sunset.

A new kitchen and a new a new layout will get this home sold fast. Our builder Charlie Frattini has his work cut out for him as Roger has designs on building custom shelving for this place. Fortunately, Charlie has great helpers to get this job done: Tanya Memme, our home owner Annette, and her boyfriend Ron.

Design expert, Roger Hazard, has to come up with a plan to get this house sold. His first priority is taming the cartoonish colors that are scaring potential buyers off. And, our builder, Charlie Frattini, has his hands full with a demolition project that takes the kitchen all the way down to the studs. With only four days to complete a makeover that would normally take close to a month, this project goes down to the wire.
