Garon Patrick Mosby

Success is universally defined as the accomplishments of one’s goals, and Garon Patrick Mosby, St. Louis City Fire Captain & Public Information Officer, has made it his mission to catapult the department onto the world stage, by emphatically showcasing the tireless work of its men and women. Captain Mosby’s ability to manage and foster cross-functional partnerships to continually build the brand of the St. Louis Fire Department is truly immeasurable. His inherent loyalty to advance collaborative efforts has undoubtedly aided in the success of multiple projects with several local, national, and international organizations. In addition to serving as the traditional liaison between the media and the fire service, Captain Mosby proactively utilizes various social media platforms to create a direct portal from the fire service to the stakeholder, thereby creating the ultimate vision of transparency.

With twenty-five years of service to the citizens of St. Louis City; (twenty years with the St. Louis Fire Department and five years with the St. Louis Police Department), he remains passionately driven to promote fire safety in an ongoing effort to eliminate fire fatalities.

Captain Mosby and his beautiful wife Leann reside in the Central West End East neighborhood, and are the proud parents of two daughters, Blaire Addison (4) and Camryn Jade (16).

Captain Mosby mentors at Peabody Elementary. He serves on the Board of the Missouri Critical Incident Stress Management Team, the Communication Board for the St. Louis American Red Cross, and is the Public Information Officer for the International Association Of Black Professional Firefighters.
