Vinnie Politan on A&E's Court Night Live

Vinnie Politan is host of A&E’s live courtroom event series, “Court Night Live.” He is an Emmy®Award-winning journalist who has been covering the nation’s biggest trials and our justice system for over twenty years. Vinnie is the lead anchor for Court TV and has covered many high-profile cases including Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard, the murder of George Floyd, the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, Arizona vs. Jodi Arias, Florida vs. Casey Anthony, California vs. Michael Jackson and California vs. Scott Peterson. He also covered North Carolina vs. Michael Peterson and appears in “The Staircase” docu-series.

Vinnie was also a licensed attorney. He worked first a prosecutor in New Jersey, then he went into private practice focusing on commercial litigation, labor law and intellectual properties. He also worked as in-house counsel for a large supermarket chain.

Vinnie started his television career at Time Warner Cable Channel 10 News as a reporter and anchor. He also created and hosted a weekly program called “Bergen County Justice with Vinnie Politan.” Vinne was also an anchor and reporter at Central Florida News 13 in Orlando. He then joined Court TV as a correspondent and quickly became an anchor for “Bloom & Politan.” Vinnie also helped create and hosted “HLN After Dark” on Headline News.

Vinnie attended Stanford University in Palo Alto, California and went on to obtain his law degree at Seton Hall School of Law in Newark, New Jersey. He is married with three children and one grandchild. When he is not covering court you will find Vinnie either on a basketball court or a pickleball court.
