Nicknamed “Fish” and “Big John.” John is a proud native of Texas (are there any other kind?), played football in high school, was a tank gunner in the first Gulf War, was a bouncer at and later a part-owner of one of Nashville’s hottest dance clubs, and – as a correctional officer – was not easily intimidated by even the most dangerous inmates.

“I was young and dumb and no one could whoop me,” John says.

He and Special Agent in Charge Jason Woodall are both die-hard fans of the Dallas Cowboys and enjoy fishing together. At the time of filming, John claimed he was 6 pounds lighter than Jason. This was never independently confirmed.
