Glossary

On the Stone:
Initiates of the Aryan Nation must carry a stone in their pocket for a proscribed period before they're admitted into the gang. Rival gang members and even other Aryans may test an initiate’s loyalty by seeing how far he’ll go to defend the stone.
On the Wire:
Placing payments on a money wire service to pay for drugs or other illegal contraband
The Pod:
A two-tiered cell block within a housing unit
Police:
Correctional officers
Powder/Rock:
Cocaine
Pumpkinhead:
A Gangster's Disciples punishment for a major gang violation. The victim is punched in the head by 6 fists, representing the six pointed Gangster's Disciple star symbol
Rockman:
An inmate assigned to cleaning duties at the prison. The term originates from the floor of most older prisons, which were made of hard, grey concrete – “The Rock.”
Roll-Up:
To apply disciplinary action to an inmate for some sort of rule violation. "That punk didn't know when to quit, so the C.O.'s rolled him up."
Runner:
An inmate who is assigned to clean an area of the prison while others are restricted to their cells, who often is summoned by other inmates to run errands for them, or to pass contraband items
