Affiliated:
Part of a gang
Beef:
A dispute between two people or groups
Boo Game:
Verbal intimidation. Example: “He was running a boo game in unit 4 -- had everyone believing he was connected to the mafia.”
Butcher Knife:
A very large prison-made knife made mostly for intimidation
Cellie:
Cellmate
Central (Central Command):
The security post that controls the doors, sally ports, and personnel traffic in prison, as in, “Central, please open Sally-Port gate 1.”
Chow:
Any meal time
Clear:
Prison-made whiskey, a.k.a. "white lightning". Brewed using sugar, fruit, yeast, water, and heat… all of which can be easily found within the prison
Confirmed:
A gang member recognized by the Department of Correction. Once an inmate is a confirmed gang member, the only way to remove the gang affiliation from their DOC file is to officially renounce the gang
Cooker:
A prison-made whiskey still usually made from a large can similar to the ones used in manufacturing coffee, soup or beans
D-Board:
The disciplinary board. Basically prison court for inmates who have broken laws or violated rules
