Premiere of the acclaimed series about Tony Soprano and his two "families"--his mob family and his typical suburban family. While Tony and his crew get involved in crime, he must deal with a shaky marriage, a scheming mother, and his two kids' growing pains at home. In this first episode, the pressure drives Tony to see a psychiatrist--something that could get a mob guy "whacked"--and nephew Christopher gets violent to protect the mob's waste management business. Then, with acting boss Jackie Aprile dying from cancer, Tony faces a power struggle with Uncle Junior for control of the family.
