Detective Selles Morris

Selles Morris took a winding road to law enforcement. After college he served three years in the Army, then worked as a tennis pro. He joined the Chicago Police Department in 1997 and he’s spent the last decade with the Missing Persons Unit. He credits college courses in calculus, architecture and philosophy for shaping his investigative approach. “I think analytically. I’m always looking beyond the facts to the relationships between them,” he says. “It’s like math — you’re trying to solve a formula.” Morris is married and has two young daughters. He still finds time to play competitive tennis.
