Detective Mike Cochran

Mike Cochran joined the Chicago Police Department in 1995 after serving in the Marine Corps. His first assignments were with Tactical Teams, including a stint with the Targeted Response Unit. “If there was a shooting, our job was to go in and suppress the violence,” he says.

Cochran made detective in 2006 and spent a year in homicide before coming to Missing Persons. “On the homicide side, there’s no personal connection to a lot of the violence that takes place,” he says. “But with a missing persons case, you really get to know the family.”
