Detective Joe Gentile

Joe Gentile, or “Joey G” as his colleagues affectionately call him, was born in an Italian neighborhood on Chicago’s north side. After a stint in the Army Reserves, he followed in his grandfather’s footsteps onto the force. Gentile worked a gang crime unit and several task forces before making detective in ’98. He loves the variety of missing persons cases and thrives under the time pressure. Despite his upbringing, Joey G swears by the Olive Garden. In his spare time, he and his children enjoy making wine.
