Detective Bob Berent

Det. Bob Berent is a legend in the Missing Persons unit – he closes 2,000 cases a year. He’s been working missings for more than 30 years, which puts the number of families he’s reunited upwards of 60,000. He credits his success rate to being a good listener. “Success often comes from figuring out what families are telling you – and not telling you,” he says. “Then putting the pieces together.” Berent enjoys spending time with his family, especially his son Bob Jr.
