A&E joined forces with In Touch Weekly to host a launch party for Sons of Hollywood at the hot Los Angeles nightclub Les Deux on Thursday, March 29, 2007. About 450 guests mingled under the stars to fete the trio during the five hour affair. The venue was decked out in with Sons of Hollywood logoed items including pillows, candles, matchbooks and glowcubes.
A video of the show looped all night long while Sean Stewart’s song “The In Crowd” was mixed into the DJ’s regular set. Guests were treated to an open bar with a sponsor from Krol Vodka as well as appetizers from local eateries Bella & Geisha House. Guests capture the fun by jumping into the photo booth in the back bar for a custom photo printed on Sons of Hollywood paper.
The event was a family affair with the Sons of Hollywood relatives out in full force. Sean’s father Rod with fiancee Penny Lancaster, mother Alana and sister’s Kim and Ruby were in attendance as well as Candy Spelling with some friends for son Randy and David Weintraub’s mom Judy. The Sons entourage included iCandy TV’s JT Taylor & Brent Wilson (Executive Producer & Supervising Producer for the series), A&E Executive Producer Michael Morrison and friends/ series co-creator’s Bobby Heyward & Adam Moonves. A&E guests included the affiliate and ad sales teams and their clients, two special winners from A&E’s Insider website as well as industry colleagues and members of the press. Notables that came out to support the Sons included Alison Sweeney (“Days of Our Lives,” “The Biggest Loser”), Joe Frances (Creator of “Girls Gone Wild”), Tina Sinatra (“Fantasy Island”), Deep Roy (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Music Producers J.R. Rotem and Bradley Spalter, Socialites Kourtney Kardashian, Brandon Davis & Jason Davis, America’s Next Top Model alums Lisa D’Amato & Joannie Dodds, Brody Jenner (“The Hills”), Audrina Patridge (“The Hills”), Kellan Lutz ("Accepted), Dr. Frank Ryan, Michael Damian ("The Young and the Restless") musician Erik-Michael (“O-Town”) and rapper Ya Boy.
