A bruised and weary Shannon returns home. Wrapped head to toe and heavily sedated, she and Gene begin recuperating at opposite ends of their 16,000 square foot mansion and drive the whole family crazy in the process. Nick and Sophie enlist crazy Aunt Tracy to rescue them while Gene defies doctor’s orders, pushing Shannon over the edge and jeopardizing their recovery.

Shannon’s girls’ weekend in Aspen is dampened when Sophie convinces Gene and Nick they should all join her. Gene’s spa recovery is cut short when he learns Sophie’s hidden agenda — a cute skier she wants to spend time with.

Nick agrees to replace Gene at a charity bachelor auction so he may better recover from his surgery. Gene tries to rush the healing process so he may be ready to receive his newest accolade ? The Golden Tongue Award.

When Gene learns his business partner’s nephew is getting a divorce, he makes it his personal mission to show him a great time in Vegas. After several disastrous attempts, it is Gene who actually learns a thing or two about the superior sex.

When Sophie is assigned a paper on the armed forces, Gene arranges a private tour of San Diego’s Camp Pendleton to aid in her research. While there, some good-natured father/daughter smack-talk results in the two going head to head in brutal basic training exercises. Inspired by the dedication and patriotism they witness, Gene records a new rock n’ roll anthem for the armed forces and returns to Pendleton to perform live for the troops.

Although a college orientation program turns into the trip from hell, Sophie and Nick use the experience to hatch a scheme. They hope to encourage their parents to shower them with bribes in order to close to home.

Gene muscles in on Shannon and Aunt Tracy’s girls weekend to the Kentucky Derby, promising to prove he too can be fun and spontaneous. $100,000 later, Gene wishes he had stayed behind.

In a panic over Shannon’s wager, Gene frantically tries to sell her ticket at a discount to anyone he comes in contact with, including: Jenny McCarthy, Peyton Manning, Kid Rock, Jimmy Fallon, Joey Fatone.

A one day trip to paradise turns into a wild adventure as Gene experiences the local flavor and works with the Premier to bring an Indy car race to the beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands.

While stuck in the tropical paradise of Turks & Caicos, Gene toys with the idea of buying his own island. Modestly naming it Genetopia, he sets out to create a kingdom that will live by HIS rules.

While appearing on The Adam Corolla radio show, Gene is given the ultimate public challenge: take a lie detector test and settle the score — are his sexual exploits Rock Star bravado or cold hard fact? After lunch with Hugh Hefner and a shot at being Playboy guest photographers, Gene and Shannon travel to Vegas for her sister Sara’s wedding. While Shannon and Tracy party with the men of Chippendales, Gene has quite an adventure of his own with comedian Carrot Top. With everyone from Hugh Hefner to Extra putting the pressure on, will Gene crack and take the test?
