Lee invites Leroy to be her date to the ASCAP awards. But Heather is concerned that Lee is setting herself up for more heartbreak. When Heather meets with Leroy to question his intentions, will her intervention do more harm than good? Meanwhile, frustrated Billups confronts Amy after she stole his thunder at an important showcase, but Amy turns the tables and calls out Billups for his angry, drunk text messaging. Jimmy and April's relationship is threatened when Jimmy chooses music over April. Heather agrees to help Leroy's bandmate Hugh take center stage, but does she have ulterior motives? Tired of being the new kid in town, Hannah tries to make amends with Lee.

Jimmy shows he's willing to do whatever it takes impress at his showcase, including taking a vocal lesson. Meanwhile, when an A & R rep from a major label comes to check out Billups perform, Amy steals the show. Will that spell the end of their romance?
