Haden Carpenter is a singer and musician hailing from Fort Smith, Arkansas. Carpenter’s journey began by singing a cappella hymns in an Ozark Mountain church. At eighteen, Carpenter moved to Memphis, Tennessee to study music. There, he fell in love with regional artists such as Otis Redding, Al Green, and Booker T. Other artists who he says influenced him are Steve Earle, Don Williams, John Prine, and Stevie Wonder. After four years in Memphis, Carpenter moved east to Nashville where he says he loves being a part of what’s next and feeling involved in influencing the direction of the industry. During his time in Nashville, Carpenter has grown as a writer, musician, and artist. He has spent a good portion of that time on the road performing, allowing him to meet new people and connect to them through his music. He’s spontaneous and loves adventure as well as hanging out with his family, whom he calls his rock.
