Shawn gets upset when he starts feeling like a third wheel, and Kristen can barely believe the level of family dysfunction between the brothers. To save a few bucks, Russell lets Shawn do the house inspection, but almost immediately things start to go wrong. When they learn the victims' missing friend might be a third victim, they race against the clock to solve the case. Meanwhile, Detective Eric Torrence responds to a scene where a man is gunned down in an apartment doorway. When the suspects come forward, they claim it was self-defense.
