El Paso, Texas based Shoe entrepreneur Andy Krafsur has built a new spring loaded shoe that helps people run faster while reducing knee pain. Andy has always been passionate about running. Growing up in Metro Detroit, he competed in track and cross country programs in high school and college. But the years of pounding took their toll and Andy was required to take a week off for every day that he ran. By the time he reached his early 30's his running days were over.

Andy started Spira® in an effort to change an industry and positively impact the quality of life of every single runner on the planet. After many years of development and testing, Andy introduced the Spira® Stinger 2, a light and remarkably resilient running shoe. His RocketHub campaign for the ultralight, three-spring running shoe launched in late 2012 and quickly attracted 281 funders, netting a total of $42,700 (171% of his goal).
