- Has 7 tattoos – they help remind her to get to a peaceful state of mind

Robert
- A rookie, he started at the MPD in 2008
- He was 25 years old when hired and is the youngest PEO in Detroit.
- Has a degree in journalism from Wayne State University
- Would like to get into TV production as an on-air personality.

- Recently lost 70 lbs in less than a year
- Has given himself the nickname “Mr. Perfection”
Sonja
- Started at the MPD in 2008
- Worked in the medical field for 17 years before joining MPD
- Brings the compassion and empathy she learned working in a hospital to the job of parking enforcement
- A native Detroiter, but has traveled the country
Kim
- Started at the MPD in 2001
- Worked as a guard for an armored car
- Loves to recite quotes from movies
- Thinks safety violations like parking at a fire hydrant should be a concern for everybody
- Loves her pet pitbulls
- Is engaged to be married
- She used to work in booting. One time, a totally naked man ran out of his house while she was booting his car.
Norman
- Started at the MPD in 1997
- Likes the job because he enjoys interacting with people
- He likes how he looks in a uniform and keeps his shoes shined and uniform neatly pressed.
- Has a 10 year-old daughter who knows all of the parking violations
- Enjoys speaking about parking enforcement at his daughter’s school
- Has a brown belt in Tae Kwon Do, he took up martial arts after 3 guys jumped him on the job
Darryl
- Worked for the city for 27 years – first for the water department, then as a parking enforcement officer
- Served in the Navy
- He is retiring to be a full time musician
- Plays bass guitar in a soul/rock band and loves heavy metal
- His father worked for the city of Detroit for 30 years
- His wife is a police officer and a singer – they met at a gas station
- Throws a big block party every year for friends and neighbors
Eric
- Has been a Detroit PEO since 1997
- Used to be a bus driver
- Keeps a Michigan driver’s manual handy for citizens who disagree with their violation
- His mom taught him that if he wants respect, he has to give respect
- Favorite violation is for illegal parking in a handicap zone
- Likes to write tickets quickly to avoid conflict
