Tune in as Lou Diamond Phillips guest stars alongside Patrick Swayze and Travis Fimmel as "Capone," an FBI insider with a bloody past to hide in the newest episode of "The Beast" premiering Thursday, February 26 @ 10PM ET/PT on A&E.
Barker (Patrick Swayze) and Ellis (Travis Fimmel) are both assigned to go undercover when Chicago Police Department Officer Owens is reported missing. Barker assumes one of his previously established identities, going under as "Apache," a tough guy who has history with a group of Latino drug dealers. As Apache, Barker calls upon an associate named Capone (Lou Diamond Phillips) to bail him out of jail. Ellis is partnered with the missing officer's partner, Officer Delaney, hoping to uncover clues about Officer Owens' disappearance and suspected murder. Ellis and Barker discover that a more senior CPD officer was involved in drug trafficking with the Latino drug dealers and that Owens was killed because he figured out the truth. Barker cunningly deduces that Capone was behind Owens' murder and leads Capone to confess that he actually is a former DEA agent who went under hoping to bring down the Latino gang, but whose plan fell apart when Owens figured out the scandal before he could bring it to the surface.
"The Beast" follows Barker (Patrick Swayze), an unorthodox but effective FBI veteran as he trains a new partner in his hard-edged and psychologically clever style of agenting. Mischievous Chicago veteran Barker hazes his new partner Ellis (Travis Fimmel) as they work undercover. Barker brilliantly manipulates situations, constantly testing Ellis and pushing him to delve deeper into his "roles." As Ellis realizes he can no longer maintain normal relationships and still do his job, he is confronted with yet another challenge: An FBI team trying to enlist him as a double-agent in the bureau's investigation of Barker.
