It's going to be hotter than Hell in Edmonton this weekend, as Gene Simmons, the God of Thunder, will be serving as the Grand Marshal at Saturday's Rexall Edmonton Indy.
Although Simmons didn't grow up as a fan of auto racing, he soon became a convert after seeing an Indy race in Dallas-Fort Worth.
"When I walked down the racetrack and saw the space-age technology and the astonishing pride and military precision of the teams and their drivers, I went, 'This is NUTS.' I've never seen anything like this in my life."
Saturday's event is at City Centre Airport in Edmonton.
