In light of the tragic passing of beloved actor Patrick Swayze, A&E will honor his memory on Wednesday, September 16th, with a special presentation of "Bio Remembers: Patrick Swayze" at 10PM EST/PST and a marathon of "The Beast" from 2:00PM EST/PST - 6:00PM EST/PST along with an encore showing of "The Beast" at 11:00PM EST/PST.

NEW YORK, NY - A&E Network has greenlit the network's second original scripted drama series with "The Beast," starring Patrick Swayze and Travis Fimmel, it was announced today by Bob DeBitetto, Executive Vice President & General Manager, A&E Network. "The Beast" will begin production on the 13-one hour episode order this summer in Chicago, and is tentatively slated to premiere in early 2009.
