A born negotiator and facilitator, Tanya Memme is the perfect host for Move This House. She helps homeowners through the challenge of handing all of their worldly possessions and the design of their new home over to the show's team.
From the beginning, there was never any doubt that she was destined for a career in front of the camera. Tanya left a rural sod farm in Wainfleet, Ontario, to move to Thorold, Ontario, with her parents to pursue her dreams at the age of fifteen. She competed in the Miss Niagara Pageant and won the Miss World Canada title. At the age of twenty-one, she moved to New York and studied at the prestigious American Musical & Dramatic Academy.
Her studies have paid off. As an actress, Tanya has appeared on television in CSI: Miami, JAG, The Practice, and The Young and the Restless and in films, such as Below Zero, Jungle 2 Jungle, and Lost Souls. As a host, she has tackled a variety of projects with great professionalism, from a weekly magazine show, ABC7's Eye on LA, to the popular TLC program, Robotica. She is also known as the main anchor for DirecTV. In addition to her television and film work, Tanya is a motivational speaker for teens.
In her spare time, Tanya loves to travel and is an avid fan of THE HISTORY CHANNEL®. She has also been known to explore her adventurous side, trying such activities as dirt biking and helicopter skiing.
