Peter Weller, who plays cranky former sheriff Lucian Connally, is no stranger to playing characters who know how to uphold the law. While he has played numerous characters on stage and screen over his career (watch for him in the upcoming Star Trek sequel!), he is best known for portraying that paragon of peacekeeping, Robocop.
In addition to playing the role of Lucian, Peter Weller also directed this episode, adding it to a long list of other impressive shows he has directed, including House M.D., Sons of Anarchy, Monk, Homicide: Life on the Street and more.
Acting and directing are only two of Peter Weller's passions. He is currently holds a master's degree in Roman and Renaissance art (and works as a professor at Syracuse University while earning a Ph.D.), and he plays in a jazz band with actor Jeff Goldblum.
Two actors who give intense performances in this episode have appeared together on TV before. Graham Beckel, who plays retired prison warden Dan Blackburn, appeared with Cristine Rose, who portrays the anguished mother of a murdered daughter, Donna Craig, on the television show, Heroes. Both Graham and Cristine played parents of super-powered progeny; Graham played Hal Sanders, abusive father of the super strong sufferer of split personalities, Niki; and Cristine played Angela Petrelli, matriarch of the Petrelli family and mother to a guy who could fly, and a guy who could steal powers from others.
Just what is the situation with bears in Wyoming? Yellowstone National Park, which spans almost 3,500 square miles across three states, lies primarily in Wyoming. The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem is home to an estimated 600 grizzly bears.
According to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, in 2011 39 grizzly bears were captured, and 23 of those were relocated to new surroundings away from humans. But that's nothing. In 2010, a total of 60 grizzly bears were captured, with 49 of those being relocated to new areas. Bears in Wyoming are just a part of life.
