Everything is bigger in Texas, especially the life of Rochelle Carnes, who is heading up a family of four sons, alongside her husband. Rochelle rules the roost with her big ideas, big mouth and big love in the new A&E Network docuseries Lone Star Lady.
Rochelle is a full-time mom in Johnson City, Texas trying to keep her house full of boys under control with her unapologetic, outspoken, and hilarious voice of reason. Her family struck oil a few years ago, but queen bee Rochelle is determined to keep everyone humble. They enjoy life's little luxuries like new cars and family trips, but still live in a simple ranch house next to land that Rochelle's family has owned for over a century.
Despite their newfound wealth, the family keeps busy carting the boys to football practice, dealing with large cell phone bills, teen sexting and squeezing in a rare date night. But Rochelle excels in extreme parenting; her motto is to get her four sons "out of the house without being fathers or felons," and she will do whatever it takes.
Rochelle is joined by her supportive, unruffled husband Trenton and her mother Mary Ann who may be old fashioned but is every bit as candid and proves the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Sons Jake, 17, star of the high school football team; Luke, 13, the rambunctious prankster; Dade, 9, the creative visionary; and Tate, 8, the mischievous rascal, keep their lives interesting. Rochelle's father Bill is just trying to stay sane and sister Kristan is the family mediator who keeps everyone in check.
