In “Hideous Houses,” general contractor Eric Stromer and his team work together to turn the local town eyesore into the envy of the neighborhood.
Along with his brother Kurt and world-class designer Megan Weaver, Eric selects the most offensive house on the block and gives it a much needed makeover. With just four days and $20,000 in spending money, the team must tackle everything from the unsightly to the downright dreadful.
Turning modest houses into beautiful homes on a strict budget certainly comes with its challenges. However, this team is not one to shy away. Named one of People magazine’s “Sexiest Men Alive,” Eric found his niche in construction at an early age. With previous television credits including “Over Your Head,” “Clean Sweep” and “Three Wishes,” Eric’s passion for the craft laid the foundation for his career.
His brother Kurt’s love of carpentry started over 30 years ago. With an eye for perfection and exceptional building talent, Kurt was able to venture into full home renovations. Megan Weaver also inherited an eye for design and has since designed homes for some of California’s most posh neighborhoods.
Together, this group of experts will renovate and remodel “Hideous Houses” and create new contemporary chic designs with elements of traditional coziness.
“Hideous Houses” is produced for A&E Network by Ellen Rakieten Entertainment and RelativityReal. Executive producers for A&E are Elaine Frontain Bryant and Jessica Morgan.
