“No food tastes as good as skinny feels.”

Tom was the star of his high school football team but steadily gained weight after he dropped out of school. He applied for a job as a truck driver, but between his weight and his driving record he was rejected and it pushed him further over the edge. Now barely mobile, Tom lives with his three brothers in a small apartment and has become a burden to them and the few friends he has left. His relationship with his best friend has become strained because Tom couldn't make it to his wedding due to his size. Tom has a myriad of issues related to his weight including sleep apnea, the inability to sleep more than two hours at a time; edema, a condition that causes extreme swelling on both ankles; and a mass that greatly reduces his mobility. He missed out on his 20s, most of his 30s and he's desperate to get his life back before he loses it permanently.
