“I hope those around me will benefit from my transformation and be inspired to do something that they have been fearful of doing until now.”
Bill is a charismatic and likeable former football player who won two national championships at the University of Alabama, playing under Bear Bryant, and went on to play in the NFL for the San Diego Chargers. During his glory days he was married to a wonderful woman, raising his son, and living in an amazing house on a lake where they even owned a horse. But he got mixed up with drugs and alcohol, eventually hitting rock bottom and ending up homeless. After getting himself into a sober living facility, he completed a treatment program and turned his life around. He currently lives at the facility where he also works trying to help others overcome the same problems he's experienced. The one part of Bill's life he hasn't been able to get under control is his weight. Bill's son Woody has the potential to get a football scholarship but needs to get in shape. Bill coached his son until the drugs took over and now Woody needs his dad more than ever, but Bill gets out of breath just walking into the gym.
