Peter and Debra

Peter and Debra's yard doesn't exactly serve as the sanctuary they had always hoped for, allowing them to relax without thinking about the daily hustle and bustle of life. As a matter of fact, they're losing their neighborly friendships over it. Their front yard renovation came to a screeching halt when they found out that the entire foundation to their house needed to be rebuilt. After a massive amount of money and time, this couple has been left with a grave yard of dead grass and trees. Amy and Alan come in and give Peter and Debra the fantastic yard they'd always hoped for, and with Asian flare.

Kos and Nancy

Nancy and Kos's front lawn is a far cry from the lush golf course that is situated next to their home. Kos's habit of starting projects and not finishing them has now gravitated outdoors where all of the neighbors can view his lack of progress. Miscellaneous potted plants, a messy compost pile, and various other bizarre items junk up this yard. Kos is filled to the brim with good intentions, but Nancy can't cope with this eyesore any longer. Amy and Alan come in and help Kos say goodbye to all of the junk and give both Kos and Nancy a manicured front yard that will be finished in one weekend.

Erika and Aaron

After 25 years of renting, Erika, a single mother, was finally able to buy a home for herself and her 16-year-old son, Aaron. However, the pride of homeownership was soon overshadowed by the realities of the fixer-upper they purchased and the expectations of neighbors eager to see this outdated home modernized. Luckily, Alan and Amy stopped by for the weekend to help give the home a 21st Century facelift with plants, pavers, a new garage door and a fresh coat of paint. But Erika and the team don't always see eye to eye when it comes to the direction of the project and the yard's largest tree stands right in between them.

Louie and Farrah

Newlyweds Louie and Farrah have just purchased their first home and with it inherited an inexplicable landscape. While they've moved ahead with all sorts of interior renovations their post-apocalyptic front yard has remained untouched and put a damper on their wedded bliss. To make matters worse, Louie comes from a family of landscapers and is embarrassed to show his face in his hideous yard. Alan and Amy come by with Louie's neighbor and uncle, who happens to be a landscaper, to help breathe some life back into their lackluster yard before it's too late. The team plans to add new sod, plants and even a custom water feature--but they've got a lot of work ahead of them if they want to meet this family's expectations.

Kevin and Sara

Enthusiastic, but helpless homeowners Kevin and Sara spend days obsessing over improvements but lack the know how to actually execute. They're a creative couple who play together in a folk band but their yard is as insipid as it gets. Their rundown and ramshackle residence has a near abandoned appearance and is a thorn in the side of the whole neighborhood. Sara works for the Parks Department and has the skills to manage a project, but hasn't been able to get anything off the ground. Amy and Alan have arrived to help them jumpstart their plans with a tumbled driveway, native plants and a new redwood deck. The weekend is off to a great start--until Alan has a run in with an unlikely foe.

Janae and Shannon

When Janae decided to buy her first home, best friend and roommate Shannon was thrilled and ready to help out anyway she could. The pair moved into a long abandoned home where prior neglect made itself immediately evident--particularly on the exterior. The mailbox is in a bucket, mud overwhelms the grass, and the driveway is crumbling before their eyes. Also, a monstrosity of a fence overshadows the whole neighborhood. Things are so dire the roomies try to discourage dates from picking them up at home. Alan Luxmore and Amy Devers are ready to give this home a serious overhaul, but just as things get underway an inspector discovers a problem in the driveway.

Tracey and David

Eight years ago Tracey and David bought the home of their dreams complete with a traditional English garden. Two children and one career change later, the crisp front garden has become a wild jungle, obscuring the entire front of their house and swallowing up their children. If something isn't done soon, Tracey and David might have a neighborhood revolt on their hands. Alan and Amy are ready to help tame the jungle, but wild weather and poorly placed power lines threaten to derail the project.

Kevin and Wendy

They live in a picturesque neighborhood of rolling hills, beautiful trees and well manicured landscapes, but Kevin and Wendy's property is an absolute disaster. Their yard is not only overgrown, but strewn with old junk and is not a safe environment for their two-year-old daughter, Paloma. While the homeowners are at a loss for how to tackle their growing jungle, their neighbor's have called Alan Luxmore and Amy Devers. The team plans to divide the space into three highly functional areas, but the work proves harder than anticipated because the position of the house makes getting machinery into the yard impossible--everything must be done by hand!

Kat and Chris

Kat and her husband Chris recently moved into her childhood home. Thirty years ago the home received various neighborhood beautification awards but today the whole exterior has developed into an overgrown and unruly mess! While Kat knows she and Chris need a more low maintenance landscape in their lives, she can't bear the thought of losing the front yard of her youth. Alan and Amy set up a plan to simplify the yard but they need to get Kat on board before they have any hope of taking this home from worst to first in the neighborhood.
