Perhaps best known to television audience for his role as Coach Reeves on White Shadow, Ken Howard is a seasoned performer with an impressive list of stage and film credits. He has appeared on Broadway in Child's Play; Seesaw; The Norman Conquests; 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Promises, Promises; and 1776. His feature film credits include Tell Me That You Love Me, Junie Moon; 1776; Such Good Friends; Clear and Present Danger; The Net; and At First Sight. More recently, Howard starred in Dreamer: Inspired by a True Story and appeared in the Cameron Diaz-Toni Collette drama In Her Shoes.
Besides being a great performer, Howard is also an excellent teacher. He created a master class in acting the American Repertory Theatre Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and taught an undergraduate lecture course at Harvard University as well as another in oral argument at Harvard Law School. Based in part of his courses at Harvard, Howard wrote a book titled Act Natural: How to Speak to Any Audience, which was published in 2003.
He resides in Los Angeles with his wife Linda. His birthday is March 28.
