Paget Brewster as Emily Prentiss

Character Bio: Emily Prentiss

Prentiss is a Special Agent with the BAU. She is the daughter of an ambassador and attended Yale University. She has been with the FBI for almost 10 years.

Originally working from an FBI outfit in the Midwest, Prentiss transferred to BAU after Greenaway’s departure. Her transfer was not known to Hotch or Gideon and both were surprised when she reported for duty.

Due to her mother’s diplomatic position, Prentiss travelled a lot as a child which affected her greatly and often caused her to rebel and act out.

Having spent most of her youth in the Middle East, she is fluent in Arabic, and also speaks Italian, Spanish, and basic Russian.

Paget Brewster most recently appeared in the television series "Huff." Her other credits include the television movie "A Perfect Day," the series "Andy Richter Controls the Universe," "The Trouble with Normal," "Love & Money" and guest-starring roles in "Two and a Half Men," on the Network, "Stacked" and "Friends." Her voice can be heard in the animated series "American Dad" and "Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law."

Brewster's feature film credits include "Unaccompanied Minors," "Hospital," "My Big Fat Independent Movie," "Man of the House," "Eulogy," "The Specials," "The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle," "Desperate but Not Serious" and "Let's Talk About Sex."

Her theater credits include "Tartuffe," "Four Dogs and a Bone," "Chapter Two" and "Pack of Lies."

Brewster currently lives in Los Angeles. Her birth date is March 10.
