A look at the famed scientist who lived among the mountain gorillas and portrayed the animals as dignified, highly social, "gentle giants" with individual personalities and family relationships. Dian Fossey's active stand against game wardens and poachers won her many enemies, and she was found hacked to death, presumably by poachers, in her Rwandan forest camp in 1985.
