Donnie Bretherton

Donnie Bretherton is the matriarch of the Vexcon family. She believes in southern hospitality and charm, which she doles out with an iron fist. The youngest in a family that included six brothers and a sister, Donnie was born in 1948 in Shreveport, LA. Her family later moved to Bossier, LA to a home that her oil-worker father built by himself. Donnie's first job was assembling bombs for Vietnam, at a nearby munitions plant.

Donnie married Big Bill (her first and only beau) at the age of 19, and nine months later they had Billy, followed two years later by Ricky. Donnie is fiercely protective of her family, always expecting excellence. Donnie's quick wit and ability to spin a tale are a perfect foil for her husband's quiet bearing.
