Ashley

AT THE CONCLUSION OF PRODUCTIONLiving with her mom, Ashley is working towards her diploma from home. Though still in a gang, she claims to no longer drink, fight or sell drugs.

LATEST UPDATE: FEBRUARY 2013Fourteen months after her jail visit, Ashley says she hasn’t changed. Ashley’s aunt Jennifer says that not only has Ashley refused to change her ways, her behavior has actually gotten worse.

Ashley stopped living with her aunt after she became too strict, and returned to the gang lifestyle. She now lives with various friends and relatives. While Ashley no longer sells weed, she says she has “upgraded” to selling “other things.”

While talking to producers, Ashley was surprised to learn that not everyone goes to jail, saying, “That’s crazy. I thought everybody goes to jail. I mean, everybody in my life is in and out of jail, so I thought everybody’s life was like that. But I guess not.”

Ashley was recently charged with gun possession and robbery. She was sentenced to forty days in jail, six months community service, and three years probation.
