First. Official. Snog!

I just had my first real kiss. With a boy. Not like a friendly peck on the cheek. It was a legitimate, full-on-the-lips kiss. And it was... wonderful.

It was an intense moment. Norman and I were talking – oh yeah, it was with Norman! Can't believe I didn't say that right at the beginning. Anyway, Norman and I were talking about this manga he'd found in one of the empty motel rooms. I'd spent a lot of time getting the Chinese in it translated to English, and I was telling him what I'd pieced together.

And you know, it doesn't sound like it would be this kind of charged moment, but it was. He was looking into my eyes, and I was looking into his. Explaining. And we were so close. I thought he wanted to kiss me but was nervous about doing it, like I wouldn't want him to or something. And I thought, if this is going to happen, I need to make it happen.

So I did it. I leaned forward and kissed him. And it was amazing. It felt like the world around us was simply drifting away into darkness and everything was solely focused on his face. He's so cute. His lips were soft and warm.

Truthfully, at that moment I can't remember exactly what I thought. I wish I could say there were fireworks but there weren't. I do remember thinking, oh my God, I'm actually kissing a boy! I can't believe I'm doing this! But you know, it was nice. I definitely want to do it again.

So there you go. My first snog, for my fellow Brits out there. We'll see where this goes...
